Alright so the Concert of Europe wanted stuff to go back to being like Mean Girls. You got your Plastics running stuff, right, and then you got your everyone else being not as good as the Plastics because honestly Regina George is perfection and Gretchen Weiner's hair is amazing and Karen's mouse costume was so nice??ANYWAYS mmkay  so they wanted to achieve this through returning everything back to being as conservative as Donald Trump times 300. So like, all of Europe was like "oh my god did we literally just sit here and let France wreck everything?? What the hell??? Aright well THIS AIN'T NEVER HAPPENING AGAIN HAHA NOPE" So everyone agreed on that. 

1.Now our homeslice Metternich was goin hard on this arite he was using ALL SORTS of nasty tactics to keep that rigid status quo in place because THEY ARE NOT GOING THROUGH THAT CRAZY FRENCH REVOLUTION AGAIN NAH SON like he set up the Carlsbad Decrees which were extremely harsh decrees set up that implemented heavy censorship,espionage, policing, and the terrorizing of liberals. some hunger games shit right there mane

 

2. The rest of Europe did some stuff like that too. Like how in Russia, Nicolas I, was just as harsh as Metternich. Like, he McFrickin REkT the Decembrists (A rebelling liberal military group). In England, it was a little more chill,  but still only 5% of adult dudes could vote, representaion SUCKED, there was a depression, riots, and the government had to shut that down harshly, so yeaaahh... Then there was a massacre outside Manchester because there were people making speeches about reform so... (dang that battle of peterloo was savage)

3. Okay come on I haven't read anything about the July Revolution yet but I can already tell you, the way it's a case study for liberals trying to change the status quo is that A MAJORITY of revolutions are because of that. Seriously.

'Kay so I read about it and so after Charles X had lost a ton of popularity beause he just kept conservativing it up, the liberals were like "ew" and spread rumors that the monarchy was hoarding food while everyone else was starving because of ridiculous food prices. And, I mean, isn't that pretty much every revolution? Look at it, even at the most simple level: Early 2000's high school drama. Imagine this: Super rich absolute ruler of a population finds themself in a situation where the people are unhappy with the way everyone is categorized, unhappy with that ruler's image, and don't like how everything sucks for literally everyone but that ruler. Fighting breaks out, that ruler is overthrown and a period of relative peace with a different system.

Did I just explain the July Revolution or the plot of Mean Girls? BOTH. 

Now as to how the revolutions of 1848 made everything done at the Concert of Europe TOTALY BREAK DOWN...Simply put, there were liberals  rebelling and some of those dang liberals liberaled stuff up, even though the whole point of the Concert of Europe was to conservative things up.
